01The belt
Gajapati is the clearest example of the thesis. The lemon-oil processing unit was built here with the local producer collective, so the value gets added before the produce leaves rather than after it has been sold cheap to someone who will add it elsewhere.
The ragi and jawar laddoo line follows the same logic. Millet leaving as a raw sack earns a raw sack's price; millet leaving as a rolled, packed snack does not.
