Odisha grows produce that never reaches a market worth the growing. Indigenous rice varieties, millets, cold-pressed oils and forest produce, held by Self-Help Groups and village producer collectives who know exactly how to make them and have nobody to sell them to.
The gap is not capability. Rural livelihood training has been delivered across these districts for decades, and delivered well. What was never funded is everything downstream of production: what a unit costs, what it has to sell for, what a label legally has to carry, and who is going to place the second order.
So the organisation runs at both ends. myefarm buys, brands and sells the produce under one name you can trace. Abeja Labs builds the groups until they can do it themselves. Same producers, approached from opposite directions.
